The Nitrum series is built from specially heat-treated 7000-series aerospace aluminium with Sunrise Medical’s patented oval tubing, giving a hardened frame that is thinner, lighter and stronger than conventional round-tube designs while translating the user’s push directly into motion. The range offers 32 frame configurations across 4 frame angles, 3 insets and 2 lengths for a truly custom fit. Four models are available: the Nitrum, the lightest adjustable rigid aluminium wheelchair in its class; the Nitrum Hybrid, with a reinforced front frame for higher rigidity and a 140 kg weight capacity; and the fixed-welded Nitrum Pro and Nitrum Hybrid Pro variants, which remove moving parts for even lower weight, less play and less maintenance. Standout features include first-in-class integrated LED lights with a removable battery, a redesigned Compact Brake EVO, a new block-and-tackle seating system, and a choice of twist-lock or push-up backrest release mechanisms. All models are crash tested to ISO 7176-19 and offered in 32 frame colours with Floating Dots graphics and superlight component upgrades.
